Here is my card for this weeks Ways to Use It Challenge- embossing powder rerun. I have tons of embossing powder, so this was a fun challenge for me! I was also trying to channel my inner markie's mom (Faith Hofrichter) for this card. I love all of the layers she uses, the dots she adds to her layers, and the patterns she makes with her images. This is not close to what Faith can do, but I think it is a good start!
I pulled out my Baroque Motifs set, I thought it would be perfect for this challenge! I also pulled out some colors that I don't use very ofter- perfect plum, pale plum, and old olive. The large panel of pale plum is matted with perfect plum and olive. On the pale panel, I stamped the flourish from Baroque Motifs in perfect plum and old olive. I used a tombow marker and my piercing guide to add the dots around the edge of the matting panels (and around the higher scalloped panels). I used my nestabilities for the scalloped rectangle and rectange panels in the center. On the olive panel, I again stamped the flourish in perfect plum and olive. I used my Marvy giga scalloped circle punch and mega circle punch to make the large circle panels. On the pale plum circle, I stamped the flourish in perfect plum and olive. I used the SU! scalloped circle punch to make the base layer of the main image. the next layer is the medallion from Baroque Motifs. I stamped it in olive on pale plum cs. The top layer is the flower from Baroque Motifs. I stamped it in versamark on white cs, I then embossed it with SU! lavender ep. I put a green rhinestone brad from 7 Gypsies through the center of the flower. The medallion and flower are both up on mini pop dots. The sentiment is from Rectangle Greetings by Gina K. Designs. I stamped it in versamark on perfect plum cs and embossed it with the lavender ep. I punched it out with the designer label punch and added the dots around the border. I added the eyelets to the ends and ran the Beachfront ribbon through them, and around the pale pale plum panel.
I think this is sounding a lot more complicated to make than it really was! I hope you like it and thanks for looking!
