This card turned out nothing like the card I set out to make but that's typically what happens with me. I am not good at conceptualizing an entire card before I start. I often start with an idea for one thing or sometimes I start with a sketch and it evolves from there! I knew the dp would be the main focus of the card. I love how dramatic this Scarlet's Letter paper is from Basic Grey. I mounted a square of dp on Real Red cs after I scored some lines on the cs using my Scor-It to set off the dp. Then I made my scallop circles and punched out the heart. I found this cool pack of Bohemia rub-ons with this great white heart in it. I used that in the center of my heart punch and stamped "Be Mine" from the Fancy Flexible Phrases set. Oh I forgot to say I stamped some Rhonna Farrer swirls on the red heart in Versamark first and rubbed versamark on the edges of the heart. It's very subtle but easier to see IRL.
Even though I was going to pop up the scallop circle I didn't think it stood out enough so I added some silver detail with my Prismacolor silver marker, then pierced some holes and traced them with the marker too. I added some Real Red 5/8" grosgrain to further set off the central image and added some Class Appeals silver stickers in the bottom corner. Finally I traced some of the dp design with my Sakura Stardust pen. It doesn't show well in the photo but it's very sparkly IRL.
Inside the card I stamped in Black with images from the Fancy Pants sets Bella Brush and Pollen Dust. They go well with the dp I think. See my other photo for a picture of the inside.
