This past summer my husband stopped at a garage sale and the woman had a computer box filled with colored envelops from a hallmark store. He paid 2.00 thinking I could send my homemade cards in them. Well they've been collecting dust for the past 6 months until last night when I ran across this idea. Whoo-whee am I glad I have so many colors right at my finger tips to choose from. I thanked my dear hubby this morning for remembering his crafty wife all the time!!

Okay ladies here goes...
Any size envelope stamped on both sides.
Make gussets on the bottom and sides of the envelope by scoring and folding over each side 1/2"-3/4" (larger folds for larger envelops) I scored mine 1/2" and my envelope was a 5x7. Make sure they are all folded the same width. Next crease both ways for a strong crease. Now put your hand into the envelope and turn it into a purse by making the sides stand out as gussets and flattening the bottom. Fold bottom triangle edges over on to the bottom of the purse and tape down. Next use a hole punch to make 2 half circles at the top of the purse and thread a piece of ribbon through the holes tie or tape the ribbon inside the purse. Finally use a SU mini glue dot to close the envelope flap closed. By using the mini glue dot you are still able to open and close the purse. Have Fun! I can't wait to see all your creations!
