I have needed to make some long cards for awhile now since I have so many of those envelops. When Sharon's (notimetostamp) challenges started popping up in the gallery...I thought....okay...I have got to do this. I combined her challenge with today's favorite technique's challenge....my fav...a pocket card....on the long side....tlc141.
I tried to keep this simple as you requested, Sharon. A few pieces of dp, a few punches, two stamps, and rub-ons...ta da....my card/wallet!!!! I like this b/c I always need money cards and the card size is 7 X 7 squared folded in half...so the money slides inside top of card and is hidden. Plus, I can still write whatever on the inside....love it!!!!
Here are some detailed instructions....
The card base measures 3 1/2 X 7(7 X 7 w/score fold at 3 1/2)
The orange piece is 4 X 7 with score line at 1 1/2 for front flap/fold over section.
I corner rounded the edges of this and the layered pieces that fit on this fold over flap.
The purely pomegranate measures....1 1/4 X 6 3/4 and the dp that is glued to that layer measures...1 1/8 X 6 5/8. I attached the ribbon to the flap section and glued the ends under at both ends...then the whole flap was glued down. The edges of the orange piece were glued using sticky strip to outside three edges to affix it to the teal base. The teal base has just a piece of dp rounded and glued.
If you want to add rub-ons and sentiment like I did, it is way easier to do this before the fold over section is glued. The circle sentiment was stamped and added with dimensionals.
