"L" Dress: I carried this hankie on my wedding day as did my Mother and Grandmother. One day I will ber passing these hankies onto my daughters!
I opted to use cream card stock with this hankie...I don't know if this was the original color or just aging. I love how the top half of the dresses turned out. I embossed all with fine glitter powder after stamping with a versa marked "Spiral Bouquet Stamp." I also slightly scalloped the card stock bottom edge below the ribbon instead of a straight edge. Trajan Monogram "L" with B&C Monogram Edition border box and a PTI velvet flower with adhesive gem after adhering the ribbon waist band.
"S" Dress: Another hankie my grandmother gave me, I just love the tatted edging! I want to learn how to do this someday. Again, same upper half of dress only using white PTI card stock. PTI velvet flowers, pearl center, Trajan "S" with B&C Monogram Edition circle with Mr and Mrs curved below circle.
"Love" Dress: I received this hankie for a wedding shower gift. Same upper half of dress with PTI card stock. Paper Tray "Love" and decorative Ambassador Monogram stamp under word. Added adhesive gem and satin ribbon at waist.
***I stumbled across a website called "Bumblebee Linens" They sell their patterns, craft kits etc. When I saw the wedding dresses, I simply drew my own pattern (as they suggest if you prefer) and then added my stamping touches and decor. Check them out and enjoy!

Your wedding dress hankies are charming. My son is marrying his best friend's cousin on Feb. 2nd 2008 and then the best friend is getting married in march to a sweet young woman named Erin. So we have two family weddings coimg soon. I'm going to start looking for 2 old hankies in the antique malls here to make one for my almost daughter-in-law and her soon to be new cousin. Erin's shower is this coming sunday so I'm going to need to run like crazy to get one done for both of these wonderful young women. Thanks so much for sharing this beautiful idea. Where were you when my daughters got married? LOL!

These are beautiful. I have several hankies that came to me when my wonderful MIL passed away. I think I will make these and pass them on to my grandaughter and her great grandaughter that she never saw. I also have some of her old jewelry maybe I can add something from there to make them sparkle. Thanks for sharing.
