It's so good to be back in the saddle here at SCS. I've missed Dec's challenges and viewing everyone's wonderful art. At this point, I'm so far behind on challenges, I had to try and gain some ground. So, this is a 5 challenge in one card thing.
1. Today's inspiration. 2. Wed.'s sketch. 3. Friday's limited supplies (no white or ivory c/s). 4. Thur's Ways to use it (flowers). 5. Monday's try a new tech (split image w/ a twist).
So here's the deal: tulips were stamped on two coordinating colors of c/s to get the split image. They were colored w/ markers and a blender. The adobe tulips were attached on top of the marigold tulips. I inked the edges and stamped little swirlys all around. One extra tulip stamped on gold marble c/s, colored, cut out and stuck on w/ foam tape. I added just a hint of glitter w/ a glitter gem marker, used the ticket corner, layered onto moss c/s and dotted the border w/ a dk. red glaze pen.
The adobe strip at the bottom: I used a texture plate to mimic the baskets in the inspiration piece and went over the highlights and edges with brown ink. I stamped a hinge onto the dp, cut out and added two copper brads.
The dp has palm leaf and sage inks added to the edges. The moss card front has inked edges and more swirly stamps. TFL
