For my last post of 2007, I'd like to share a quick card that I made a few days ago. I love the sentiment, "Time spend with Friends is time well spent" because it's so true.
I've been on a roll lately making square cards. I often get into the rut of making the standard size cards, but these square beauties give me just a little more space to create. This card is 5 1/4 X 5 1/4 with a base of Papertrey's Stamper's Select card stock. Then using a piece of basic black I adhered a scrap of Soft Sky Double Sided Designer Paper. Using the sentiment from Time Well Spent, I positioned it in the lower right corner and highlighted the flowers and dotted the "i" with stickles.
The background for the focal image is the Friend by Definition background stamped in black onto Soft Sky card stock and punched with my Spiral Punch (I think this is the first time that I have actually used this punch on a card) and then distressed the edges a bit. The flower was stamped in black and colored with my blender pen and highlighted with my black SU! marker, adding a row of faux stitching around the perimeter. It's nearly impossible to tell, but the inner dots of the flower are dotted with black stickles. Using my Three for You punch, I made one little flower for the accent, which was attached with a little piece of dimensionals.
