I thought today's inspiration piece has sort of an ethereal feel with the sheer gauzy fabric and delicate metallic accents.
My card design was one of those "alter as you go" experiences. I knew I wanted to try my new Hambly screen print rub-on's (for notimetostamp's New Toys challenge), so I started with the flourish in the corner of my paper. Then I wanted to add my new Moonlit Fairy stamp. In order to try to replicate the same color of the rub-on, I inked the fairy with gold metallic (Versamark didn't produce a dark enough image) and embossed with copper embossing powder. I then wanted to add an ivory stamped flourish at the bottom corner to incorporate some of the ivory from the dress, but that is where the design when awry. The ivory ink smudged and I had a mess. Since I only had one rub-on of this design, it was either figure out a fix or start over.
I went back and looked at the inspiration dress, and was struck by the angled cut-outs at the bodice and decided to see what I could do with that design element. I cut out the smudged flourish and then continued to add small cut-outs to the design. I attached the finished piece to some Ivory glittery DP from DCWV Once Upon A Time mat stack. Since the bodice had tiny buttons, I added some ivory vintage buttons and a sentiment to finish the design. Certainly not the original idea I had in my head, but I like the result. Thanks for the inspiration.

Wish I had that fairy stamp. She is just too cute. Love the tabs and buttons, it definitely has the feel of the top of the dress. The embossing is beautiful. Very pretty card.

Love your take on this challenge and how you went with the angles on the top part of the dress! That caught my eye too but I couldn't do anything with it! Great job!
