I made this card for my Mom, and since she received it yesterday, I am safe in posting it here now. The Sugar Nellie image was received from Crooked River in the Wish RAK group. I colored her with my prismacolors and then gamsoled to blend. Touched up a few spots with markers to add more depth to the color, and used stickles to give her some shimmer (or Bling!). I used clear EP on the cc cs with the floral bg stamped image to add more texture and paper pierced the bottom of the barely banana cs. I think the white satin ribbon adds some softness as well. the yellow brads were just to even it out a little bit.
Believe it or not, the pretty blue floral dp is actually cut from a Kleenex box. (saw Gina K use that once and thought, hey, why not--I pick out the pretty ones, might as well use them). Now I try and coordinate my Kleenex boxes not only with the room but with something I might use on my cards. LOL
I really think she turned out pretty cute. What do you think?!

This is just lovely! I love the kleenex box 'paper'. As a matter of fact, I was looking at my kleenex box this week and considering using it for a card, so now I will feel free to do so! That's such a cute little sugar nellie stamp.

Fun card! I think I commented on your blog, but let me say again what a nice spin it was to cut out the image and sit her on the sentiment -- definitely a great 'outside the box' layout!

I love the idea of using those kleenex boxes! Your card is great.
I have been cutting up my kleenex boxes when they're empty and keeping them sorted in ziploc bags just waiting for inspiration
