Here is my card for today's color challenge- elegant eggplant, wild wasabi, and so saffron. This is such a great color combo, thanks Emily!!!
I didn't have any plan for this card, it just kind of developed as I went along. And I am pretty happy with the end result! I used the eggplant as the base mat and saffron for the base. I stamped one of the images from Stem Silhouttes in stamped off wasabi on the saffron. I then ran it through my cuttlebug with the script embossing folder (I just got it!). I then ran the saffron ink pad over the raised script. I used my nestabilites for the main image panels. I stamped the poppy image from Oh, So Lovely twice on the whisper white cs. The stems are in wild wasabi and the blooms in black stazon. I colored the flowers with prismacolor pencils and mineral spirits. I sponged around the edges of the panel with eggplant. The sentiment is from All Holidays and is stamped in eggplant.
The polka dot ribbon is from Club Scrap and matched the eggplant perfectly. The other ribbon is wasabi double stitched. I felt like the corners needed something, so I added the brads.
Thanks for looking and I hope you like my very ad lib card!
