I needed to make a gift card holder for my 16yo girl cousin, so I thought I would use shades of pink. Well, I ended up using all pinks (and white) and I paper pieced my ladies coat, so this qualifies for TLC146- paper pieced gift card holders- and WT144- monochromatic cards.
I thought this was such a fun layout and it was different than what I usually do. I used my new set from MFT- Baby, It's Cold Outside. The sentiment is from Gina K's Punchy Words. I used purely pomegranate, blush blossom, and whisper white for the colors. On the blush blossom layer, I stamped the snowflake from MFT in whisper white craft ink and then embossed with iridescent ice. I used my fiskar's circle cutter to cut the circular panels at the bottom left. I then cuttlebugged the white circle with the snowflake emboss folder.
For the main image, I stamped it in black stazon and then colored it in with prismacolor pencils and my aquapainter. I paper pieced my lady's dress with some pink dp I had. I used some DecoArt Snow Writer, to make some puffy snow under the lady and snowman. The sentiment is stamped in purely pomegranate and I used my Marvy Extra Jumbo circle punch (the yellow one) to punch out the image. I then ran the edges of the circle in purely pomegranate ink. The sentiment circle is up on pop dots. I tied the purely pomegranate satin ribbon around the card before putting on the main image panel. I added the pink rhinestones in the corners, instead of the brads that Jackie used.
Thanks for looking and I hope you like my very girlie gift card holder!

Hi Dorothy. I see you are up and at 'em early! Your card is so very girly. Your cousin will love it (also what's inside!). The reds are so gorgeous, and the ribbon sings! The cb circle really makes the ribbon stand out. Good job piecing too. Great job! Anne.
