This card is for a friend of mine who likes Ikea, so I'm assuming she likes minimalist, clean lines.
The sentiment is from the French Canadian version of Many Merry Messages and means "Merry Christmas".
The window and bird are by Flourishes. The lines are a little thick in these stamps, so I inked them up with pale blue (Tim Holtz Weathered Wood), stamped them once on scrap paper and then without re-inking, stamped them on the card. Then I traced over them with a 005 Micron pen. I did this so the thicker lines of the original stamps would not overwhelm the thinner lines of the sentiment. Also, this way, I didn't need to mask the bird's tail, where it overlaps the window, or the part of the head that's covered with the hat.
I drew the hat. I also used a circle guide to draw the ornament.
