This is a monthly planner that I altered for a gift for a friend of mine. It's sort of a funny thing, as she started out in my stamp club and is still going to continue in club, but she also likes CTMH stuff so she became a demo for them just for the discount. We both volunteer at the preschool where our kids go, and she didn't want to "step on my toes" by becoming an SU demo like me, mostly b/c the club she is in that I lead is ALL of the other preschool mom's who volunteer. Anyway, we have been friends for years, but since she is a CTMH demo, I made her this planner using their Simple Pleasures DP and Alfresco stamp set. It was hard to do, but I loved the end result. I still think SU's paper is THE BEST!!!! CTMH is flimsier (is that a word?) and I don't care for the white "core" in their solid paper. Anyway, the deets are below! I made another in my FAV DP, Basic Grey...check it out too!

I don't know if the directions for these are anywhere. SORRY :( , But what I can do is tell you briefly how I did them. First, I bought them at Big Lots for $1.50 (what a STEAL!). The paper measurements for the base would be 10 1/2 x 7 3/4. I just flattened out the "real" planner and measured their cover. It's a flimsy cardboard cover, and I cut about 1/8" off each end so it wouldn't stick out by accident beneath my cover. They come with the plastic sleeve, so I just put my cover in the plastic sleeve first, then I put the real planner in to give it more durability. You can't see the real cover at all, but for $1.50, one sheet of paper, and some scraps, it turned out pretty good for a teacher gift I think! I am always looking at discount stores for things I can alter easily and these were perfect! Anything with a removable plastic cover is perfect for altering.
