These are ornaments I made for a swap. I only made the red/green ones for the swap. I used Stampin' Up! Cardstock and scalloped punch, scotch and scotch double stick tape, and Sulky thread. The thread comes 250 yards per spool, is called Holoshimmer and can be found primarily at fabric/cloth stores such as JoAnn's. This uses the spirelli technique in a very simple way.
This image is made from copyrighted products using Stampin' Up! and Sulky materials, also Scotch regular and double stick tape.
This is actually very easy. You just tape one end of your thread down, and go to the front with it, and go all the way across the middle of the punched image to the back, bring up between the next scallop, etc. You do all threading between the scallops. When covered, you tape down the thread, DO NOT CUT, make a loop, tape down again, and THEN cut. For the 2nd color, you do everything as above, but OMIT the loop, and tape down thread and cut, leaving you with a scallop punch with NO loop on it. You then use double stick tape, and sandwich these two punched pieces together. Use regular tape until this point, or you could just use double stick, but regular tape is less pricey.
Enjoy!!
