One of the attorneys I work for became a partner of our firm, so I made him this Congratulations card. I only had 30 minutes to make it, so there aren't any embellishments other than the chipboard stars. The attorney is a man anyway, so I'm sure he's happy without glitter and ribbon. LOL!
I found the sketch for the card at Page Maps http://www.pagemaps.com/dec07cardmaps.htm. The card base is Very Vanilla. I layered the striped dp on Chocolate Chip cs and trimmed one side with some decorative edged scissors. The next layer is some coordinating orange dp also layered on Chocolate Chip cs. I trimmed the corners of the orange dp with my 1/2" circle punch. (Just flip the punch over and you'll see that the circle has an X in it. Line up the corner of the cs in the V of the X and punch. Make sense?) The sentiment was stamped with Chocolate Chip ink on the orange dp.
I covered the two chipboard stars with more coordinating blue dps using Mod Podge, sanded the edges and adhered them to the card.
(Does anyone out there recognize the dp? Who's the manufacturer? There's nothing printed on the back. I picked up 10 sheets of this paper at some weird shop in Portland, Oregon for $1.)
There you have it. I'd love to hear what you think about my card. TFL - Regina
