I sooo love this new set -- Baby It's Cold Outside -- by My Favorite Things. Why, you ask? Well, for one thing, it reminds me of one of my favorite Christmas carols (I love the version by Lou Rawls and Dianne Reeves on the "A Very Jazzy Christmas" CD). For another thing, it's adorable! I also love this green/blue color that's so similar to the color of Jadite glassware. Martha, of course, has this color of cardstock at Michael's, and I found a Copic of the same shade, too. I like the way the kraft and chocolate chip warms it up -- kinda looks like mint-chocolate-chip, now that I think of it....
Anyway! I colored the image in with Copics, then added a little brown Liquid Applique to give her boots a little fur. I stitched some embroidery floss on the edges of her scarf, and added some white L.A. for depth and texture to the snow. Snowflakes were added to the background with a Signo white pen, and then topped with Diamond Stickles for sparkle. The frame and scalloped layer was created with Nestabilities. The snowflake punches in the corners were made by punching acetate with Martha's snowflake punch, rubbing both sides on a Staz-On opaque white pad, then peircing and adding a brad through the middle. The card measures 4.75" x 4.75" squared.
