I really enjoy making cards, but my next big love is decorating gift bags...especially when I can use this pretty dp by Rubber Soul.
The dp is layered on Real Red cs. I snipped the top corners with my Fiskars decorative scissors and added the large decorative brads to the bottom corners. The chipboard snowflake was inked up with Craft White Ink and embossed with Winter Ice Embossing Powder. This BasicGrey chipboard is so wonderful because you just peel the backing off and stick it down. So, so, so easy! In the center of the snowflake, I stamped the Joy sentiment in Chocolate Chip, added a red Twinkle Sticker to dot the j and colored in the heart with my Real Red Marker.
The tag was made by punching more dp with my Small Tag Punch and layering it on Real Red and Whisper White cs. I stamped the sentiment with Chocolate Chip ink, clear embossed it and added a little yellow Twinkle Sticker for the star on the tree. I punched a hole at the top of the tag, threaded some organdy ribbon, knotted a scrap of Real Red Grosgrain Ribbon and tied it to the bag handle. I added some lengths of ribbons to the handles because I like the elegance they lend to the bag. (I got that idea from Sharon Johnson and all the wonderful bags she creates.)
