This is a fun country garland from Rubbernecker (www.rubbernecker.com). I loved the image but felt it need to have some additional pine boughs stamped to paintcut out to pop over the image to create depth. I also cut an aditional star to pop up as well. I painted all with reinkers and sponged Ranger distress ink around to create an aged look. I added three little buttons and thread to the star but I don't think you can see them in the photo. I used a coluzzle to create the oval mat frames with green and cranberry. I used a wonderful pine spring to create the bg on the green frame layer and sponged on distress ink to age. I wanted to use gingham ribbon with this card but it needed to appear old for my taste so I ran it over a distress pad and then heated with my heat gun. The heat puckered the ribbon perfectly and created just the aged look I was after. Fun card. My good buddy, BadSherry, is inspiring me to try more distessed cards.
