The colors reminded me of brightly painted mexican pottery that can be found for sale around the Phoenix area. I was on a mission to find some pottery stamps in my collection, but I ran across an old SU set "Southwest" and the chili pepper jumped out at me. I may still do another card for the challenge with a pottery stamp because I really enjoyed using the brayer on this one!
I brayered the background with a Kaleidacolor Spectrum pad for the rainbow of colors on scrap white CS and matted with scrap CS. I stamped the chili pepper in Versamark, then Real Red ink and heat-embossed with Iridescent Ice EP to give it some sparkle. Tied a small piece of natural twine on the stem and pop-dotted the pepper off the main block. I mounted the block on 4 1/4 x 4 1/4 inch Real Red CS. I used snap stamps to create my sentiment which reads "baby - you are hot, hot, hot!" on scrap yellow & black CS.
Thank you, Karen, for a great challenge! TFL!!!!
