A HUGE thanks to Beate for inspiring me to make an advent calendar this year...every year I try to find one that is as cool as the ones I used to get from mom and dad as a kid, with no luck. This was the perfect solution! And thanks also to everyone else that has shown their artwork...I think I stole a little of everybody's designs!
Anyway, I had a blast making this, and although I had a grand plan to really dress this up and embellish the heck out of it, I found that I really liked it better simple.
Instead of the little tins (which I couldn't find anywhere), I used paper mache boxes. The tops were covered with Always Artichoke CS and Figgy Pudding CS by Basic Grey. The numbers were stamped with Whimsical Numbers and popped up with pop dots. Then everything was distressed with Vintage Photo Distress Ink. All the boxes were joined together with doubled foam squares (but there has to be an easier way...I just didn't want to make it too heavy), and then I glued magnets to the back to put it on the fridge. But the hardest part is going to be keeping the kids out of it (and by kids, I mean DH!)
Anyway, thanks again everybody...this was one of the most fun projects I've ever done!

Great job! Very Creative! I did find the tins in the "Bridal supplies" in the paper crafting, gift section of target. They sold a box of 20 I believe.
I really love how you did it just as well! the paper is so beautiful
