With the arrival of BasicGrey's awesome Figgy Pudding dp, I've been neglecting their other wonderful collections. That said, I decided to use Scarlet's Letter dp and realized that the colors would be great for a masculine birthday card. I need to build up my stock of those cards anyway.
The card base is Close to Cocoa. Next I used Desire dp layered on Basic Gray cs for the three back panels. The next layer is Pious, also layered on Basic Gray. I stamped the image with Timber Brown Staz On on Very Vanilla cs, shadowed the sky with my blender pen dipped in Going Grey ink and highlighted the water with some Stickles. This is layered on Close to Cocoa cs. The sentiment was stamped twice on Very Vanilla, once with Basic Gray and again with Close to Cocoa. I punched out the center of the Close to Cocoa sentiment and stuck it to the Basic Gray sentiment with a Dimensional. It's layered on Basic Gray and attached to the card with a double layer of Dimensionals. (Oh yeah, I used Close to Cocoa eyelets on the three back panels and main panel to give it a real masculine feel.)
I kept it pretty simple, but I think it turned out pretty good. What do you think?
