Sad News!! :( My goldfish started to bleed shortly after this picture was scanned. The next day I washed them off and sealed them with liquid laminate and plopped them back in the bag. By the next morning they were bleeding again (this time worse), so I washed them off again (the remaining liquid laminate flaked off). I now intend to mount them behind an empty gel bag. I don't think I'll lose too much of the effect since they are quite bold & bright to begin with and I had to shrink them anyway because DD tropical fish are so large. It was due to my lack of knowledge and inexperience with polyshrunk fish that these fish needlessly suffered. I'm hoping that by writing this, no other polyshrunk fish will have to suffer. BTW, Does anyone know what to feed them??
Update: I tried one more thing: sealing the polyshrunk fish with crystal effects. This was another miserable failure. The crystal effects just bubbled up after an hour of being in the gel. So I again washed the fish, peeled off the crystal effects and mounted them with sticky strip behind the bag. The bleeding might be a reaction of the staz on with the gel that I used, so I'll let you know that I used Dep sport thickening gel. If anyone has success with staz on and another gel, I would love to hear it. Someone suggested that I request a RAK for the goldfish, but they are really feeling much better now. Thanks for the kind thoughts!!
