This is a card I made today for a friend who is graduating very soon with his bachelor's degree. He's been working full time, and over the course of many years of taking 2-3 classes a semester (including summer sessions), has finally accomplished this goal. I think it's a magnificent achievement, hence the name for this card.
I've always liked the look of reflection cards, and wanted to try the technique today. I used a multitude of stampscapes stamps and masked off portions to create my landscape around the main buck image/reflection. If you've never tried stampscapes before, prepare to be amazed. I took my first stampscapes class several weeks ago, and was sold within the first few minutes of "creating" my first landscape - they are wonderfully easy to use.
I used chalks and colored pencils to color the main image. I sanded the patterned paper to distress the edges and take the "harshness" out of the pattern. I matted the main image panel and background panel using punches as I went along. I used a computer/printer to create my sentiment. I added the hardware, and finished off with some brown ribbon. I attached it to a 4x9 inch creamy caramel card base which will fit in a business-sized envelope.
I hope you enjoy it as much as I had creating it. I encourage anyone who hasn't done the reflection technique before to try it out - it is incredibly fun!!

Your card is nothing short of a work of art! I can tell you spent the time to create something very special for somebody who invested a lot of time and effort. I am sure he will treasure this!

Seeing the whole card is truly magnificent - just like the sentiment on the front of the card. What a beautiful job you did on this. Truly amazing! Your friend will want to frame this! I'm glad you posted a close-up of the deer, though - to see all the great details.

Totally awesome! What a great job on the reflection technique. I'm going to try it as soon as I have some free time. What is this 'stampscapes' all about? Is it a product or a special technique? Or both?

I agree with you, reflections technique is so fun. Your creation is absolutely brilliant, beautiful and into my favs! BTW, thanks so much for a very precise recipe for how you created this beauty. It really helps those of us that are not as talented.
