Here is my card for the Ways to Use It challenge. The challenge was to use masking in some way. This is my first time masking and I am definitely going to do this again! I decided that I was going to make a birthday card for my niece, who will be 8 in December. She is definitely a girly-girl, so there had to be pink and something kinda frilly.
The main panel of the card is whisper white cs. I matted it with pixie pink, apricot appeal, and certainly celery. I decided to try a reverse mask. So I used a piece of computer paper and cut out different sized circles in the pattern I wanted with my Fiskar's circle cutter. I used my Color Box stylus with sponge tips to sponge pixie pink, apricot appeal, and certainly celery ink in the circle cut-outs. I used the butterfly from the Reason to Smile set as the something frilly. I stamped it in Versamark on whisper white cs and embossed it with black ep. I used the stylus to sponge color on the butterfly. I adhered it to the card front with 3D mini pop dots. I stamped the birthday sentiment (from Hugs and Wishes) with black stazon.
Thanks so much for looking and I hope you like it!
