In July I had my 12X20 shed converted to a studio. I love it and so do my girlfriends. When we need a break we take a dip in the pool in the summer. I'm very fortunate! http://galstamper.blogspot.com

You are very fortunate. How awesome is that! Love the trees in the background. It looks like your property is in the middle of a park! I also notice that you don't have a cement walkway to the front door which means you must not be where it rains much! Lucky you. I am jeolous too.

You're one lucky lady! That studio is to die for, but your yard if just fantastic! Who wouldn't get inspired with such tranquil surroundings.

WOW! Awesome place for you! You should post inside pictures too!
Love how you have pavers around your pool instead of the basic "concrete". Very pretty!
Enjoy!

Love all the encouraging words and compliments; thank you so much. I'd love to share my story with all of you some day, but in a nutshell, all that I have is a true bitter sweet labor of love. I own 2 acres in Rural Central Virginia and custom built my victorian cottage in 2004. In 2005 I put in the pool and had a shed brought in as well for all my yard supplies. The front office in my house just wasn't cutting it for me with regard to crafting space, so I bought another little shed and paid a contractor to convert the other one to my studio. It was cheaper than having the upstairs to my house finished. Plus, I like the little get a way. No, I don't get much rain and when I do, it drains so well off the back yard. I had a fence building party when I wanted the fence; so all my friends and I did that. And, I do have a boyfriend that is a big help now. But he didn't come along until towards the end of 2005. I'm all about hard work and perservering. I've endured much pain and loss and that pushes me as well. In all of that I learned that true friends are priceless and I could not live my life without them. So a lot of the things I do are done with them in mind as well. I like being surrounded by good people. My little piece of heaven here on earth lets me do that.
