I was preparing to go on a fishing trip for the weekend and knew I wouldn't see my TRUE LOVE on Sweetest Day.
She was out giving a greeting card workshop and I wasn't sure when I would see her again. So I figured I would make her a card to show my love. Since all of her card making supplies are still at her old house, I rummaged around the house looking for materials. I found some photo paper to use as my card base. I recycled a greeting card I received from the cable company apologizing for bad service (image of the arm holding the roses). I found the "For our past, our present and our future" in a soon to be used picture frame, an award ribbon and some tinsel. Only glue in the house was some vinyl glue from a pool patch kit and some nail polish.
I made the card by first cutting the photo paper using a card my "soon to be wife" made me as a template. I then trimmed the hand holding the roses from the greeting card. After folding the photo paper in half I glued the hand to the photo paper using the vinyl glue. After gluing it to the photo paper I realized it would look better if I trimmed it so the "From our past our present and future" would lie on the photo paper and not the Hand piece of paper. Before I glued the second piece I noticed I had about a half inch of empty space on the left side. I figured I would use some kind of bow or ribbon to fill it I found the award ribbon trimmed and placed it on the photo paper. Then I glued the "For our past, our present and our future" on top of the ribbon and in place.
I was pretty happy with the results but felt I was cheating because I used some already printed material. So I thought to myself how can I put my mark on to the card. I came up with "1,000,000 I luv u's". I cut the words out of a piece of photo paper to make sure it would fit. I found nail polish to use as glue. I was going to use cracked pepper but after searching through the house for something that sparkled, I found some tinsel. I minced the tinsel with a butcher knife and poured it on to the nail polish. Unfortunately, i forgot to cut the comas and apostrophe - and there you have it my first card!
Materials: Premium Photo Paper, Misc Paper prints. nail polish, vinyl glue, award ribbon and Minced tinsel.

I love the arm...great ingenious work on this card. You have found why we are all addicted to the card making process, that creativity is addicting. Pretty cool, sweet card!
