A while ago on Nichole Heady's blog, she demonstrated a way to create Faux Postage using the Super Jumbo scalloped square punch. I couldn't wait to order the punch and try it.
So, this is my faux postage card. I took the punch, punched the square out of a scrap piece of paper, and taped it onto the corner of my vanilla cardstock. I then stamped the smallest snowflake from Snowflake Serenade in Brocade Blue and sponged the edges of the square with Bashful Blue. The '07 is written in Brilliant Blue marker. I added some Martha Stewart glitter to the dots in the snowflake with a Sakura Quickie Glue pen.
I stamped the 2 larger snowflakes on the edges of the vanilla cardstock and glued some clear rhinestones into the centers. I tied a blue organdy ribbon (SU-retired) around the vanilla layer and then taped it onto the Brilliant Blue card base.
"Joy" was stamped first in Brilliant Blue and then I added the "Wishing you" in Bashful Blue. Corners were rounded with the corner punch and then clear rhinestones were added with a quickie glue pen.
