I sometimes amaze myself!! Not that I made a spectacular card or anything, but that I actually designed and chose to do my Christmas card during the first week of October! Wahoo for me! I think I "cased" about a dozen people with this card, just adding my own little twists to it! Thanks to everyone who posts lovely samples in the gallery every day . . . your inspiration guides me!! I have already made four of these . . . only about 56 more to go!
I loved the "Ways to Use It" Challenge we did a couple of weeks ago where it challenged us to use Basic Gray . . . it is now one of my favorite colors! The white image on the front and on the inside is embossed (the inside is then completed using the "stained glass" technique - which is embossing your image on a piece of vellum and then coloring it on the BACK side - once again I used my newly rediscovered plain ol' non-Copic SU markers - LOVE 'em!)
The base piece of cardstock (Basic Gray) is 9.75"x 6.25". The finished card is 6.25" x 3.25", as it is a trifold. - I found some envelopes that are 6.5" x 3.5" at actionenvelope.com that were very reasonably priced, so I decided to use 'em!
