I really look forward to Beate's weekend sketches, so when I saw this one Blogs at Splitcoaststampers , I knew I wanted to use the oak leaf from the Fall Whimsy set. I love to use the Cracked Glass technique with my fall cards. Tutorials at Splitcoaststampers I think it lends a nice look to the leaves. That said, I stamped and colored five different images before I finally made one that I liked. LOL!
Anyway, the dp is from BasicGrey's Mellow collection. The card base is Ruby Red. The next layer is Very Vanilla and then the dp. I stamped the leaf on some watercolor paper and colored the leaf with my aquapainter and five different inks. I shaded the background with my aquapainter and Bashful Blue ink pad. I sponged Chocolate Chip over the cracked glass to highlight the cracks and added a bit more depth with the twill and Hodgepodge. It's layer on Old Olive cs. I didn't add a sentiment to the front of the card because I plan on using it as a impromptu notecard.
So, what do you think? TFL - Regina
