I've decided to try and make one or two Christmas cards a week to get ahead of the game. So far, so good. Luckily I don't need more than 20 or 25, so I should be okay.
I'm a huge fan of all things BasicGrey, so I dug out my Fruitcake paper and chipboard for this sketch. I started out with Garden Green cs for the card base. The next layer is Cherry from BasicGrey, which happens to be the backside of the pretty Fruitcake Plaid that you see. (Cool, huh??) Then I added the Plaid and Frosty layers. Next I covered the chipboard with the Holly Berries dp, sanded the edges, sponged on Garden Green ink and added a little ribbon. The two snowflakes and "merry" sentiment were stamped on Very Vanilla cs, punched out and mounted to the card with Dimensionals. The chipboard is mounted directly to the card. Oh yeah, I almost forgot to mention that all cs edges were distressed and sponged with ink. Distressing the edges really added to the paper's vintage style.
So, what do you think? TFL - Regina
