I made this card for the JBWW challenge to use uninked rubber over on Jeanne S's blog: Blogs at Splitcoaststampers
I bought this stamp unmounted quite awhile ago because at the time, I just could not live without it. After I got it home, I decided it just wasn't 'me' and I never did use it.
The image is stamped on paper that has a subtle leather texture printed on it. I colored the image with Prismacolor pencils and then burnished with a colorless blender. I also added a few highlights here and there with a Sakura Stardust pen. The background paper is Basic Grey Scarlet's Letter.
Thanks for looking at my 100th gallery posting!

CRACK ME UP! I have this stamp because (1) it's Grant Wood and (2) Grant Wood is from Iowa and (3) many of his most famous paintings were completed in my home town, including American Gothic I think. I love how the goofy hats just accentuate how grumpy and sober his subjects look. (Did you know in real life, the "models" for this painting were his dentist and his sister?)
