My Christmas Cookie Book: I created this using up some scrapbooking supplies (like we all don't have plenty around!) The covers are 5x7 canvas boards that come in packs of 3 from Michaels...as do the adorable recipe cards! Those I found in the $1 bins and they come in packs of 20! The embellishments are Jolee's and they all came in the same pack: "Baking" (SPJJ065 in case that helps!) The book is held together with 1.5" binder rings from Staples. I made a template for punching the holes to help with uniformity...basically the boards are punched 1" from the top and side and the cards are punched .5" from the top and side. The key to this project? A Crop-A-Dile! You can't punch through the board or all those recipe cards without that little baby (what did we ever do before CAD???) All the inks, ribbons and punches are from Stampin' Up!
This is a very quick and easy project to whip together as a gift...I thought they would look adorable in the kitchen sitting on an easel...I'm thinking of making another one for everyday and including space for photos of the family members who gave me the recipe (ex: my Aunt's chicken casserole and Grandma's Jell-O Salad.)

No problem...it's no fun seeing a great project if you can't figure out how to make it :-)
