Paper Pretties is presenting a card challenge each week this month as we get ready for the 'Stampin' In Your Jammies' challenge night. This week they presented a color challenge celebrating the upcoming Fall Season...so we had to use any shade of Yellow, Orange, and Brown in our card design. I couldn't find a pattern paper with this combo of colors...which is almost unthinkable, considering the huge stack I've accumulated due to my horrible habit of 'hoarding'...so I decided to make my own. I used So Saffron cardstock and stamped various designs using pumpkin, mustard, apricot, chocolate chip, creamy caramel, and saffron. I then cut the size I needed and ran it through my Big Kick using the cuttlebug swirly design embossing folder. I had just received my PomPomabella, so of course I wanted to ink her up and decided to use her for the main image. The ribbon is such a luscious brown and gold, which I got from Julie's new online store 'Verve Visual'...you cannot appreciate the soft, luscious feel of this ribbon from the picture...I would encourage you to order at least one package and give it a try...I honestly don't think you will be dissappointed. There are micro mini rhinestones from Amuse on the pom pom centers, and that big glittery brad is from Kristine's Kreations, an ebay store. I also used a Copic Glitter Pen in Gold in just a few outlines of the skirt and top for added glitz. I've ordered a stamp with a similar sentiment, but it hasn't arrived yet, so I decided to hand write that part in...as if you can't tell, huh?! I don't expect to win the challenge this week as there are some awesome designs already submitted...if you have time, you should check it out...it is a fun place, and Christie now has some majorly fantastic designers...such as Julie Masse just for starters (her blog can be found at: www.stampinwithjulie.blogspot.com). If you want to check out my competition, and see just why I don't expect to win, (which may already be obvious to most of you ;) ) browse through the SIYJ Weekly Challenge Photo Album at: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Paperp...guid=303992403
Ok, I think that about covers the details for this card. TFL
