We went camping this weekend, and I took some of my stamped off images along, together with markers, gel pens and snips, and had a wonderful time. I actually got about 35 card tops colored. This is one of 6 from this stamp I did.
I can't remember where I got the stamp, but she is so much fun to work with.
I used Hot pink gelly roll glaze pen(it gives a raised feel to the dried gel) (from Joanne's) to color the lady's dress and hat. After that I used my white gel pen to make polka dots and grip her hat band and binding on dress. I used gel pen for their hair, and glitter gel pen for his jumper. Used glitter gel pens for the lilypads and flowers, too. I took my creamy caramel for their skin tone. Bashful blue for the water, and close to cocoa for the dock and went over that with white gell pen to add character. I cut out the top half of the card. I had some cloud stationery and used for the sky. Then took waterfall stickles for distinction on the water line and to give the water dimension. I used my scalloped punch and cut in half (white and night of navy) then did a shadow affect. After than I wrote on happy birthday, and added pink stickles for the center dots. Very time consuming cards, but definitely loads of fun, as you can see.
Thanks for looking. I hope the stickles show up on the water, it really adds to the finished card.

Absolutely beautiful. Great idea to take along stamped images to color on vacation. I am heading to South Dakota next week...think I will take your advice and take some along. Thanks!
