This is my first try at a 5th grade graduation banquet invitation. What do you think? I would have to make 150 of them. I don't know if I should do it or just go to Kinko's. I know more than half (probably lots more than that) will end up in the trash. :(
Any comments and suggestions will be greatly appreciated!

Your card is just beautiful!! Very elegant and fancy. ( Didn't know they did such fancy things for 5th graders these days! )
The whole thing is just really pretty and I guess you have to decide if you have the time and inclination to do 150 of them. They would really be no different than sending cards or invitations for ANY occasion--a certain number will always be pitched to file 13 (no matter how much time, effort, or expense we may have gone to to create masterpieces!!)! TFS!

I agree...I LOVE THEM, but they seem a bit 'fancy' for 5th graders. Maybe you could do the same thing but in the school colors??? Just thinkin' out loud. I did something similar for a 25th wedding aniversary and they really didn't take all that long. Had 70 of them done in a weekend. You have LOTS of time!!!!! TFS and let us know what you decide.

WOW! A lot of hard work to see them in the trash. Can you vote on it at PTA or something? They're truly beautiful!!!! You could even modify it to school colors if it's less costly. Good luck with whatever you do.
Very, very nice invitation; as a grandmother I would love to have had something like this for my daughter when she was in 5th grade; it would be a wonderful keepsake for parents and if they don't want it give it to the grandparents, they will cherish it.

beautiful card - with about 9 months to go before they need to be mailed, you would "only" be making about 18 or so a month - or maybe have some kids come over and help CB all those backgrounds! either way - it's beautiful - maybe if a kid got something so cool, they wouldn't want to trash it!

Thanks so much for the comments! The 5th graders (I can't believe my son is in 5th grade already!) have a banquet every year to celebrate leaving elementary school. This year's theme (the kids voted) is Broadway/New York - New York. They are getting all dressed up and everything. :) I guess I shouldn't be so worried about them getting trashed. *gasp* I had fun making it, and I do have plenty of time. Thanks so much! I'll post the final one when it's approved by the Principal. (I think the wording will have to change. After I showed it to the chairperson, she told me she thinks we aren't allowed to use the word "graduation" on anything.)
