I am using this card to send out my son's 6-month pics to family members that live too far away to hand-deliver them. (I thought the saying was very fitting!!)
This card was definitely an adventure!! Half of what I did was because of goofs I made... I smudged the black ink while stamping the gumdrops, so instead of just stamping the word "sweet" in black on the green gable on the bottom right corner like I had planned, I put it on a tag so I could mount it on top of my smudges. (I would usually flip it over and take a 2nd shot at it on the backside, but this was already my 2nd take!) But then the card didn't seem balanced, so I had to tilt the picture part of it. I was going to use just the slit punch on the corner (no eyelet or ribbon), but I punched it in the wrong place, then re-punched it correctly, hence the eyelet (so nobody could take it apart and see my oops). That corner was still bugging me, so I figured I'd add ribbon and hang the tag from the eyelet with it, but dummy me, I couldn't figure out how to attach it without wrapping it around the edge of the green galore piece and still having it look funny. So I knotted it on the backside and fed it through the eyelet, so then had to use dimensionals because that piece wouldn't lay flat. To top it off, when I attached the tag to the ribbon it covered the eyelet, so I had to scratch that plan, too. So one end of the ribbon is taped down so as to cover the hole I punched in the tag when I was trying to put the ribbon through it! Whew!! Maybe it would have been faster to hand deliver the pictures and not make any cards....
