Still practicing with my sewing. A bit crooked because I discovered sewing on lighter weight designer paper is tricky.....it likes to move around. I think if you glued piece to CS and then sewed it would solve the problem. I love the color combo and the Basic Grey Stella Ruby DP with a strip of striped Tres' Jolie DP that went beautifully with G Guava and B Banana. I just had to make a Stella Ruby card after admiring leslierich's Stella Ruby Tuesday cards on her fantastic blog....a must visit!
Edited: my new photo with 2nd card that I glued a layer of VV cardstock to the Stella Ruby layer and then sewed......worked great! The sewing is much straighter now. I also added the sentiment using my stampamajig. I am now happy with the results:-)

I still don't even have a sewing machine. I lost mine when we moved a couple of years ago and never bothered replacing it. Your stitching looks great. This is such a beautiful card. Leslie would be proud!

Ohhhhhhhhh I love it. The colors are great, love the background papers and the scallops, that adds such a nice accent. Your eyelets balance out the stamping. The layout is great and this looks very versitale for other colors too. Can you see it with Christmas paper and stamps too, I can. This is going in my favs, TFS gf

Ooooooooh, ahhhhhhhh! This is so gorgeous, Nancy! Love the layout and colors and the stitched ribbon through the center. Of course, I love the paper, too. I like the way you used the two different Silhouette stamps for the main image. More fun with sewing, too! It's a learning process. This is just beautiful all over!

What a very pretty card - I just love those images from Garden Silhouettes -- can't go wrong with those - ever!!! Your sewing will get easier with practice!!!! It adds such a nice touch. Looks like you are using one of those tiny machines made for paper crafters? I've never used one -- I just use my regular machine -- I wonder if the tinier machine is harder to use? Whatever, your card is wonderful and I wish you luck with your continued venture into sewing on cards!!! Keep me posted!!!

Love your new and improved version - and now as I think about it -- when I sew, I never sew on just a single sheet of DP either -- I always have it adhered to a stronger base as I sew on and build up from there -- glad to hear you had better luck -- both versions are lovely -- and no one knew the difference, but you -- isn't that the way it goes!!! TFS!!!
