A small group of friends put out the challenge to make a *hot* card. We could interpret *hot* however we wanted. I thought of the hot/warm colors in the color spectrum of red, orange, and yellow, as well as our hot sun. I also thought of a hothouse, so I punched these windows to the hothouse peering into the flowers within. I used my summer sun and only orange chalks to lightly outline each square and the sentiment panel so that the white didn't appear so stark. To get the sentiment *one day at a time,* I used a black marker and my stamp-a-ma-jig to line up those words from a portion of one of the Brighter Tomorrow sentiments. To my challenge friend: please don't knock off points for my using tempting turquoise and brilliant blue in two of my flowers (I know they're from the cool colors family); I just liked the contrast of these two colors with the overall card. I'll probably send this card to a co-worker who has a long recovery process from major surgery.

How clever you are!!! I love the hothouse idea!!! And I love that sun!!! I'm not good with cool vs hot colors, so you don't have to worry about me judging what colors you used based on that. I do know I like the color combo you used though!!! Awesome Charlene!!! Totally Awesome!!!
