I bought this Dreamweaver brass stencil last weekend at our local annual Stamping Convention, and this is my first time using my Basic Grey Perhaps 6 x 6 pad and the Wild Wasabi cardstock.
Jami's "Fall Back On Black" Challenge came to this card's rescue! There was just too much pink blending together here between the designer paper and the image, and then bingo! I remembered about using black! Much better! Thanks again, Jami! :o) I cut a window in the Perhaps paper with my craft knife and layered it onto a black cardstock "frame" which is popped up on dimensionals over the Dogwoods.
I stenciled the Dogwoods image with SU! pastels, then covered it with transluscent embossing paste and sprinkled with DD glitter. I love this technique - so sparkly and pretty!
The dots on the ribbon are actually white. I colored them with a pastel pink sharpie. :o)
This card measures 5 1/2 x 5 1/2.

Ohhh nice work on the everything... the stencil, the colouring of the ribbon with a sharpie - sharp idea BTW, and when it came in and said perhaps dogwoods I thought - oh - she thinks - maybe the flowers are dogwoods, maybe not!!! Such a chuckle - but a beautiful card!!Black is good.. TFS!
