There is a somewhat sad story behind this sentiment stamp. I recently quit my job working as a secretary for an oncology practice, and took a position as manager at my LS(tamping)S. There is a patient who has always been very special, and it was sad to say good-bye to her on my last day. She has fought so very hard and long against her cancer, and is unfortunately quickly losing the battle. When I stopped by the office a week after my last day to get my paycheck, the office manager handed me a card and a small gift box. The card was from this patient and her husband wishing me good luck at my new job, and inside the box was this Hero Arts stamp! This patient tried very hard to continue working all this time, and she was always appreciative of how I tried to work her chemo schedule around her work schedule. It just blows me away that amidst this constant battle she is waging, she went out and got me this most-perfect gift! What a wonderful, sweet, giving person she is, so this card is to thank her for the gift and to let her know how much I will always cherish it.
Thanks for looking and listening to my story!
ETA: This patient lost her battle on Sunday, August 19th.... please keep her family in your prayers if you are so inclined! Thanks!
