This is just the most elegant technique I think IÂ’ve ever tried! Thanks for the challenge Linda and a chance to learn a new technique!
The vellum embossing technique can be explained here in Linda's card.
The cuttlebug panel is rubbed with the white stamp pad very gently so it only inks up the embossed portion.
I used Diamond Glaze/Crystal Effects to glue down my vellum. It works fine for this type of image and I only applied it on the not quite solid black portion of the image, the leaves are left alone and raised right to the edge.
The photo is okay but doesnÂ’t show the true elegance of this technique so you need to give it a try. My vellum was not cardstock weight and it worked fine with a very light pressure.
I sent this out to SCS member Maddy Mason who is going through cancer treatments.

Stunning! Will have to try this technique again...wasn't happy with it the last time I tried it. Maybe elegant will work better than cutesy. Thanks for sharing this.

Very pretty Roxie! I love the layout, all the pink (and i'm not a pink person), flower panel and love those birds flying across the middle. I think I need to try the vellum embossing technique!

OMG! I'm so excited! You've combined one of my favorite techniques with one of my all time favorite SU! stamp images! I really love this, Roxie, and I know it's way more gorgeous IRL. That's the drawback of this technique - photos and scans just cannot do it justice. Thank you so much for playing and creating such a beautiful example for my challenge. :o) BTW, you should add this to Jamie's Fall Back on Black Challenge. Linda

This is breathtaking...very striking! For some reason I'm really using a lot of black in my cards right now...this really caught my attention! The black really makes the regal rose pop!
