Here's my page for the Goodnight Moon challenge. We were to use night time or sleeping pictures, a red balloon and green. There was a bonus for adding anything else mentioned in the book.
I spent lots of time thinking about how I was going to add the red balloon and the colour green. When I finally decided that I could just as easily draw the balloon, I got out the book and things just evolved into me drawing the whole thing. It probably took me less time than if IÂ’d cut it out from paper. IÂ’m going to have to do this more often I think! When I scanned the page, the green was a bit overwhelming so I sponged Close to Cocoa ink on the green to tone it down.
The journaling is under the green flap at the side. It reads "Your bedtime always involves lots of stories. Aunty Shannon gave this book to all of her nieces and nephews When Dad first discovered he could get you to fall asleep while reading this book, he would read it over and over again until you drifted off. It was one of the first books that you would point to something and say what it was. We thought you were saying ball when you pointed to the red balloon. Now at 15 months, you ask for “Moon” and will go get it out of your book box when we ask you where it is.
