Okay, ya'll, I'm trying to do my full size card for the Western Swap I signed up for here on SCS. My husband, who never has an opinion on my cards, says: a) Should have left the brushed copper layer off, b) Should have left the ribbon snip off (he may be right) and c) shouldn't have smudged the copper encore ink on the star. What do ya'll think? This is the first swap I've signed up for on SCS and I wanted it to look good. My copper layer was straight and I might have distressed it a little too much. I distressed all the edges except the base and sponged the rust and VV. Please give me your opinions.

These are all great examples of the differences that make the world 'go 'round'! My opinion? You have not 'over' distressed ... it fits beautifully! And, leave the ribbon! Cards do not need to be symmetrical! Love the ink additions to the roughed edges too!

Hey, looks good to me. I thought it had a nice rustic feel that fit well with the theme of the stamp. If the ribbon bothers you maybe switch it out for some hemp type cord that's a little more "rugged"?
