This is my first shaker card, which i made for my son's 7th birthday. I decided to put the shaker stuff and image on the backside of the panel so the fishbowl looks more real. I stamped the crab onto a piece of decorative paper i made with melted crayons and cut it out. The background was done with the smackin' acetate technique and i added torn brown paper for sand (as well as real sand). The presents and starfish are colored with metallic gel pens. I sponged the inside rim of the fishbowl with craft white and embossed it with white EP to help the outline stand out. I wanted it to look like the crab is handing a present up out of the bowl, so i cut the image in half and pasted half on top of the fishbowl. I doodled the border with the Signo white pen. The corner accents were trimmed with deckle scissors and speckled with the bg stamp. This card was immensely time consuming but I love it! Thanks for looking.

What a cool card! Your son will love it and it was worth every minute you spent on it.

This is adorable. I have never seen a shaker card with anything sticking out of the shaker part like you have done with the present here. That is the coolest idea. Your son is going to LOVE this card!
