I just love this little guy from Hero Arts! I forgot the boss was having knee surgery today... so this is what I've put together for her from the team. My inspiration for the wire legs came from some samples I saw where I bought the stamp. The 'gimped-up' knee was my own twisted idea.
The bird was stamped on watercolor paper in black craft ink then black EP added. The bird is painted with Twinkling H2Os; cut out (cut the legs off, too) and raised up on dimensionals. The birds 'new' legs are made from SU wire; one knee was wrapped in a long narrow triangular length of first-aid tape. I used Cornish Heritage Farms Weave BG on the green galore CS (stamped in same color) and on the white CS (stamped in Brilliant Blue after stamping-off 2x). Galore green and white CS edges were sponged using same color as stamped with. Buttons are adhered with glue dots; white stitching 'drawn' on with white gel-pen. Get Well Wishes 'ribbon' is stamped in Brilliant blue on white CS. Bird's shadow is simply a 'going gray' wash.
