Thought I'd dig this one up and post it...this is the first handmade Christmas card I ever sent out, from not too long after I started stamping. You can see that I had yet to discover the joys of the Stamp-A-Ma-Jig I can't mount my stamps straight to save my life, particularly sentiments, so the SAMJ is a constant companion on my stamping table now.
This is pretty much a slightly simplified CASE of the Sleigh Ride sample that was in the catalog a couple years ago, I think the original had some brads on it or something and I just wanted a FLAT card to send out. Plus I'd just started, who wants to spend money on brads when you can get RUBBA instead? I used watercolor pencils to color in the main image. Note to self: do not do watercoloring on a card that you're going to mass-produce, it takes too long. I wish we still had the old burgundy color that came before Bravo, it was a little bit lighter and I think much prettier, in both ink and cardstock. I accidentally used up most of what I had left of the old color, I thought I was getting Bravo Burgundy and I wasn't. Oops.

Gorgeous!! I love your coloring and the simple, elegant design. You have inspired me to dig out my set and dust it off...Christmas will be here before we know it!!
