I have a tough time journaling on my layouts and I put a lot of thought into this one. I'm very proud of myself and happy with the result. The hidden journaling reads:
As we walk, I grasp her tiny, delicate hand and she smiles up at me as she merrily trots along. She chatters softly but continuously in her own language that I wish I understood. (She always has so much to say!) I reassuringly squeeze her hand, and guide her safely across the parking lot. It is at this moment that I secretly wish I could snugly tuck her hand in mine forever, and preserve this feeling of admiration between my niece and me.
I treasure these moments because I know her independence is steadily developing each day, and it wonÂ’t be long before sheÂ’d rather venture off on her own. I will hold on as long as possible...until she is ready to let go of my hand.
