Here's my story, I was going to do this as soon as I saw Cindy was the featured stamper last week, but it was Dad's BD and Aunt was going back to Ireland and well life- so today it was on my absolutely had to do list.
The dark BG is complex- I spritzed paper with Tim Holtz washes, blocking areas with star shaped templates I cut myself. I then rolled it with white craft and embossed with a tinsel EP. Then I decided it was too dark so I found this SEI DP and covered up most of it. As you can see from Cindy's example I had to find the BIGGEST, HEAVIEST piece of chipboard made, so I chose the star, dabbed on white and banana craft ink, stamped the sentiment and then applied 3 coats of clear EP to all stars. My clear EP was apparently messing around with some stray black mutt and I got some little speckles-thought it was ok except that last little star.
Thanks Cindy for all of your inspiration, and of course for being such a sweet person. I could never have let this pass without trying to emulate one of your masterpieces, I'm just lucky I had it right here to work with.

Hi Diane! I hope you had a wonderful birthday celebration with your father and a nice visit with your Aunt. Thank you so much for making this wonderful card and casing one of my cards. It is cool to see my card and your card in a picture together!
You absolutely put alot of work into this card and your efforts paid off. I actually like the little speckles of black on the stars. It's great how sometimes mistakes turn into really cool added features. Love your shiney stars, the almost look like they are ceramic! I am so honored that you were so determined to participate in this challenge. Thanks for that, you made a wonderful card!
