OH how I loathe this work!!! I have inherited this room as our eldest son, 22 1/2 , moved out in mid June . I have now moved beyond the stamps into ..sigh...the embellishments . My husband says I have enough inventory to open my own rubber stamping store. Sigh. There will be no co ordinating dots, or beautiful storage etc etc. I will be more than happy to get it all just labeled and into my shelving units. ( Most are from Ikea - not this dreadful bunch of plastic units- they will go back on the shelves).
Meantime I have told myself I cannot make a card until I am done with this dreadful task....We'll see if I am that disciplined....come on over and give me a hand!!!!

I'm working on the same project, my stampin' sister, so I understand your pain! Keep on keepin' on! Just keep the end result in mind so as not to get distracted by the ink and rubber calling your name!! Hang tough!

Cleaning sisters...I found a way I like to label things...I cut labels out with my Sizzix and stamp the word on label...attach a ribbon adhere to container...looks cute and hopefully I get things where they belong. It really makes you think how much stuff I have. How come I always want more???EEEkkkk!

YEK, don't you love it when a room comes open. My step daughter married a couple of yrs ago and after 1 yr decided she did not have any intentions of getting her bed, dresser, etc from her room here so we packed it up in the attic and I moved my stamp stuff in there. A whole room to myself. WOW, I love it. I call it "My Play Room". Love the shelves in your pics.
Well inquiring minds want to know, is it organized yet? Were you disciplined enough?

Well, everybody that's asking - is my stamp room organized yet, ah, no.. But I've been working on it quite hard. One day I spent just organizing all of my brads, eyelets , charms etc etc into about 8 different boxes with 12 compartments EACH! I dumped one over by mistake...oh man. I've got all my stamps organized and put into my shelves... ya know, working on it...
My sister came by and said - howsa about you open a store?? My husband said - you've got more stock than a stamping store.. My kids are taking bets on whether I will have a clear space in my stamp room to actually stamp on...
I will - good things take time. Or so I tell them.
PS - here's a laugh!!! Those shelves?? My now 17 year old son used to collect Beanie Babies when he was young, and my husband built those shelves for him since he asked for an apartment for his beanie babies ( there used to be compartments and doors on the shelf...LOL!) and I've still got my cuttlebug hidden from my husband.... all's not lost...

I just took 2 days off from work to do the exact same project - clean up and organize so I know what the heck I have! In between I'm trying to do all the DTGD challenges! so it all is a challenge!!! but it's SO worth it to be organized and know what you have and where it is when you need it!
Love all your shelves and storage pieces! Mine is a real hodge podge of baskets, plasitc drawers and 3 different tables!
