I finally made a double slider card! Thanks for the great Resources tutorial, Beate! These kinetic/motion cards are always so much fun to make. This is a birthday card for a 12 year old daughter of a good friend.
The flowers on the front panel started out as just being masked and watercolored, but it looked too plain to me. So I ended up stamping them again, cutting them out and making them all 3D. The large flowers are made from Pretty in Pink cardstock and watercolored with Regal Rose, accented with the Regal Rose marker. The small flowers are stamped on Apricot Appeal cardstock and watercolored with Apricot Appeal (I like intensifying the color of the cardstock this way). The left one is on one dimensional and the bottom one on two.
You really can't see it in the photos, but I used the white Souffle pen and DD glitter on the centers of the small Apricot Appeal flowers, and the Sakura Quickie glue pen and DD glitter on the centers of the little blue flowers on the lattice background. And I had great fun using the Sakura stardust pen all over the flowers. The tab is made with the one inch circle punch.
I also used a custom rub-on transfer to put Savannah's name on the front slider. See this thread for instructions (the instructions I use are in post #9): Forums at Splitcoaststampers
Ink: Stazon Jet Black, Versamark, Classic Bashful Blue, Gable Green & Apricot Appeal, Craft Ballet Blue (on lattice layer), reinkers for watercoloring: Regal Rose, Apricot Appeal
Accessories: detail black EP, aqua painter, Regal Rose marker, DD glitter, Sakura Quickie glue pen & Stardust pen, white Souffle pen, corner slot punch, corner rounder punch, 1 inch circle punch, dimensionals, mini glue dots

I love how this turned out knowing how much thought you put into this card for Savannah. Everything, the colors, the flowers, the glitter and the slider are all things a 12 year old is just going to love receiving.

Your work is phenomenal! I came across the vellum apple card and then came to your gallery to see other work you have done! I love how you describe what you've done to make the cards as much detail would be missed in just looking at the photo. I am bookmarking your gallery so I can come to it often! Thanks.
